DOUG LANDIS - a legend

Doug Landis wasn't an artist until a high school wrestling accident left him quadraplegic.
His brother monte challenged him to draw, placed a pencil in his mouth and the rest is history

This is just amazing. Here in Honolulu there is a guy that paints like that. His work is pretty awesome as well. I'll have to try and find the pictures to send you :)

Through out the year, we are receiving a huge number of envelopes from organisations/people requesting donations. It is getting to much. But there are a few who receive an amount from me. Among them the Association of mouth and foot painting artists. The pictures on your post are the reason why.

Occasionally, something comes along, puts life into perspective and just smacks you in the mouth. This is one of them. What a talent.

beautiful art from an incredible person. i lost a friend after he suffered for years as a quadraplegic. i wished he had saw or felt the light and life that could have still remained, as doug landis has. life is what we make it. thanks for sharing this baron.

What a talent! I am amazed with his work by only using his mouth. It's really inspiring. There is also a Turkish artist named Esref Armagan who is blind and I heard he has unbelievable paintings. He was in Houston a year or two ago, but unfortunately I was not able to have the pleasure to see his work. This really is amazing. Thank you for sharing.

That would be an amazing talent to draw like that with your hands! Spectacular! I wonder how long it took him to get the feel for doing this.
