Great looking bike. I'm still partial to the classic look of the Bonnie, though. I'm thrilled to see the Brits staking such a wide claim in the market.

I love the fact that Triumph kept with the parallel twin (a MASSIVE one at that), instead of going V-twin. It really makes this bike a Triumph IMO. I got the chance to sit on one and hear it, and it is very nice.

I wonder if Triumph will be considering a 1200cc bike to slot in between the Bonneville and T-Bird.

Dear Baron:

I just saw on a previous posting by Bobskoot that you kissed the pavement as part of an unanticipated dismount.

I realized you have a crushed lower jaw. While this is going to be some bitch for a while, it isn't fatal. Are you all right otherwise?

Were you wearing a full-face helmet by any chance?

While I am distressed that you went down, I am very glad that you are alive, with limbs intact, and hopefully walking.

Fondest regards,
Jack Riepe

Derek,
If you'd told me 10 years ago the Brits would make such a come back with their motorcycles, I'd laughed from here all the way to China...It's very cmmendable and I hope they continue in their success

Lance...I'm with you on this one and I'm really getting excited about getting a Triumph...the more I look at it or think of it the more I want it...so just a matterof time...will they make a 1200cc unit, maybe..., I hope they do

Dear Jack R,
Thanks for your visit and concern bud...I do read your blog all the time, even if no comments left, as I truly enjoy your writing style.
Yes, I did kiss the pavement, was avoidable, my mistake as I dind't see it coming, was too late when I finally did see it (No pun intended)I had by then already hit the pavement with my face on the edge of the side walk. The half face helmet was a mistake and didn't help as my right hand side lower teeth either broke, flew off, or were painfully swallowed in the process..It's funny when I think of it now, but it wasn't when it happened...odly enough I have some pain in my left arm (Not the right arm...which is bizarre) and my rib cage...but I can work and walk...no major problem there..just that it looks bad with all the sacars on my face... now the dental surgeon has to take the roots out from the fractured teeth out of my lower gum, extract the remaining five teeth I have been left with and build a denture...it will probably all be done within a week or two.
Thanks for your concern.

Missy, I really like this bike...it's classy but apparently their 2010 model will have more power than th 2009

I like the look of this one real well. I didn't even know they still made Triumph bikes. I remember them from a long time ago :) The things you learn on your site :)

If you haven't already, go buy it! If you can find one. My wife's step dad and I have been trying to take a look at one here. The dealer never has one. The salesman called me one day and said they had one. We were at the dealer an hour later and it was already sold and gone.

That is a seriously good looking bike, it's good to see how Triumph has come back from nowhere.

Sorry to hear about your accident, just reading about it made me cringe, hope the rest of the treatment goes well.

Thom,
Triumph is made a come back big way...similar to Harley Davidson's come back. My biggest pleasure in Life was seeing Japanese riders on Harleys in Tokyo, Japan

Linda,
I think I am now sold on the new Triumph.
