I do wish we had a day like that here Baron. We have Remembrance Day in November but, with the exception of the Sunday morning parade, it is usually ignored by many.

Lovely image and an excellent tribute.
Last time I went to a remembrance day memorial they had moved it from the local cenotaph to inside the local arena. Local politicians were all up on stage making speeches about how our brave soldiers in both world wars had fought and died for a multi-cultural Canada. I left in disgust.
I now remember in my own way - far from politicians.
