This is an excellent example how fast things can go wrong while you are just riding or driving along minding your own business.
Stay vigilant on the road....never - ever take it for granted. Watch this clip and you will know why....

Man that's messed up! Keep your eyes open out there!
Ride on,
Torch
This is terrible. And I hope that I will never be confronted with this.
I think my chances are big that this will not happen to me. In the last two years I drove my care 7'000 kilometers. In all. I use (our efficient) trains and public transport system more and more.
Of, course trains have accidents too. So, perhaps it is better to stay in bed all day long. But then, you will to go for a leek from time to time. And this can be dangerous too, if you slip, fall down, break your legs, get a thrombosis and die.
Ok, seriously, one of course has to be vigilant all the time when being in traffic. If you are careful driver, many others are not.
There's not a lot you can do about this type of accident - if your name is on the bullet that's it...
That on coming car and truck didn't have a chance to maneuver anything! Poor folks probably saw it for 2 seconds before they hit! What a domino effect this was.
The problem I have after watching, is the fact that we usually position ourselves in the far left lane when riding. We'd have been creamed with no chance to do anything. Scary!
It's scary how many truck drivers that I see weaving off the road. I bet the driver fell asleep.
I don't think he fell asleep. If you look carefully, I believe the 18 wheeler behind him, struck his trailer and causing him to lose control. A hellasish accident no matter who caused it..Thank's for posting this, Baron's Life...
Awesome and frigthening..goes to show anything can happen..Agree with Nikos, if yur numberis up your number is Up
Torch...absolutely right...can''t be helped...!
Peter... Hope no-0ne ever has to face a similar situation. It all of takes a split second...don't matter if you drive 100K miles or 7000 miles/year.. It just needs to happen only once to screw everything up
Nikos, Thanks for the visit..You are right...Nobody can escape his/her Destiny...C'est La Vie !
Lady Ridesalot...Lesson is ...you must stay vigilant darling and hopefully Lady Luck is on your side.
Donnie, what scares me the most on the road is when I see young drivers tailgating me...They have no clue how long it takes to stop a vehicle..I honnestly think Driver's ed needs to be updated and we need to teach the young ones about momemtum... Mass x speed and what that means when it comes to being able to stop a vehicle.
John, I believe you are correct.. This is something I wouldn't even want to happen to my worse enemy...
Anonymous...Agreed, thanks for the visit and I hope you drop by again.
