Daimler's motorcycle
The world's first motorcycle?
In 1876 Sylvester Howard Roper attached a two-cylinder steam-engine to a bicycle and the world's first motorcycle was born.
In 1885 Gottlieb Daimler strapped a gas engine to a wooden bicycle and the world's first gas powered motorcycle was born.

I wonder if Roper sold his steam powered cycle under the tagline:
Hot NEW Ride!
Joker, doing some research on this...lol Must've been one hell of a hot ride. Seriously, I do not know how popular his contraption was but I will find out as I read more on the subject.
On another subject..Harley Davidson raised 600 Million in funds today which will allow it to go on. I'm quite happy about this as I didn't wanna see them go down the tube
