Funnies.........................

Psychiatrists say that 1 of 4 people are mentally ill. Check 3 friends.
If they're OK, you're it.

Hi Beth,
I'm in the automotive industry as well. I work for a manufacturer of diagnostic tools & equipment...so yes, I actually do know these guys well. A good bunch of people in the automotive industry...
Motorcycles and Scooters are my personal hobbies

When the weather is nice I ride a Piaggio LT50 around town. Work is only 3 miles from my home so it's a nice change. I'll check back often. Hope you swing by my work blog: wwww.techshop-ets.blogspot.com

I used to work for Ken-Tool, a tire tool manufacturer, am now publishing to the autotive world. Going to the Mac Tools show next weekend in San Antonio.
cheers.

Hi Beth,
I will check your work blog tonight with a fine tooth comb....lol
The Vespa LT50 is a nice machine and handles very well. I know a few people who have and swear by them. A bit on the expensive side, but you have the name, design, fashion and reliability. I didn't realize, so many people in OH rode scooters. When did you start riding?
I seem to remember your name from Ken Tool. I probably met you at one of the shows we all attend. I work for GTC/Sheffield Research.
Not doing the Mac show this year, but will be at Matco in march.
Enjoy San Antonio for it is a beautiful city.

I have no specific need but I always wanted one, an LT102 IR thermometer with laser sight. When I had my muscle car I had overheating problems, this would have pinpointed exactly where the problem was. does this unit read "on the surface" or can it look beneath the surface, such as If I wanted to measure the core temp of a banana or tomato

OH, BTW, I have already spoken to Gary (Kymco, Rideaway Motors) about your scoot.

do you also have a M/C ?

Bobskoot,
The LT102 will only measure surface temp. It has some great automotive and industrial application. To measure the core temp of a banana, tomato opr what have you need an IR Thermal imaging temp gun. They are very extremely expensive units and are used for very special applications. In automotive apps, comaparing cylinder temps, or scanning a radiator for hot or cold spots, etc...is about all we do to some degree or other.
I'll be looking at his shop end of this month. I have pretty much decided on the 2 stroke you recommended. I think it will be fine for what I want.
I've always had at least 2 iron horses in my garage, plus a couple of scooters... I got rid of the scooters (Old Vespas) and now have 2 good bikes...probably this summer I will get an H/D haven't decided on which model yet.

I bought my scooter, used, about 3 years ago, so I think I got a good deal on it. I love it and my kids think I look pretty cool on it (so far). i will try to remember to look you up at the Matco show. I'll be there, then off to Cornwelll.

Sounds like a good deal. You need to be careful riding. How many kids do you have? I have 2 sons, the eldest lives in Australia, the youngest lives at home with us. He's 16, in high school in BC and plays soccer for a US team in WA...so we do a lot of driving up and down I5 for his practices and games. I'll send you the booth # for Matco once I know it... I'm skipping Cornwell this year and will do K Tool in Wixom Michigan. But from the looks of it, you gonna be a pretty busy girl attending all these shows...lol
How does it feel to be a publisher...that's quite a switch from what you used to do. I'm an aspiring old writer myself...
BTW, were you involved in the Carica acquisition...I think I know who you are now. I will be looking at your blog later on tonight.
Cheers, have a great eve.

oh no. Carica. Like a bad headache I just can't shake. Yes, I was with Ken-Tool when we acquired Carica and lost the Snap-on Canada business. That's a story to share over drinks in person.
I like publishing a lot - I was able to stay in the same industry, see all my old friends, and as a bonus, I get to write - which I enjoy very much.
