Does anyone know who manufactures these scooters? I can't find any substantial info on them, saw one at the park the other day and it looked good. Junior is interested in getting one...but other than a vague mention to a distributor...I haven't been able to get any info on the machine, other than what you see above and none whatsoever on who makes them.
Sorry I haven't been visitng blogs...will resume doing so shortly upon full recovery...Cheers everyone.

I would stay away from anything that you "can't find any substantial info on". Vague mentions of distributors doesn't make me feel too warm and cozy either. Might make it real hard to find parts, service and support when something goes wrong down the road. Go with an established brand with lots of dealers.
Baron:
Volano is made in China. Quality is suspect. I would imagine parts are too. If you have a problem no one will touch it.
check out Vitality 2T from Kymco on Marine Drive. Nearly the same power as a Super 9, with minimal upgrade can go nearly 80 kmh. Or I have a Kymco 150 for sale down at Rideawaymotors.ca , ask for Gary

That's the same scooter locally badged "Baron SX150" back when I did "The Baron in Winter" a few years ago. It was a decent ride, as long as you stayed on top of the maintenance. Of course, having a pit crew helped...

I have only seen Volano branded scooters as 2007 model years.
Just last week I bought a Volano DLX50 (2007) for $300 5000k on the clock, so as an "investment" they are slightly better than buying snow.
