Ah, I love trains! There is something inevitable romantic about the old machines and something so very intriguing about the new.
There is no better way to travel then by train.;))

I love trains, I use them a lot in Switzerland. And on 27th October, I will take the train from Vavuniya to Colombo, via Medawachchia and Anuradhapura.

Protege..I'm with you...would love to ride the Trans Siberia from Beijing to London

Peter the train you will be riding is quite differet. I've been on it...it's too crowded...it kills the experience or rather gives it another meaning

Anna This was a real moving train...if you click on the picture you'll see more details
Would love to live in a train...should be a wonderful experience

Ah yes trains are fun but my dream is to live on a boat.
Somehow trains crossing thin wooden bridges through mountains do not go well with me.
They are heavy metal and would fall real hard, as would airplanes.
But like everything else in life, taken to the right places, can be an unforgetable experience.
