BMW is cooking up a new electric scooter that will possibly debut in late 2010 and will be produced in 2011, Solo Scooter reports in Spain. Unnamed sources said that the machine would use a lithium ion battery pack that allows a range of about 155 miles or three hours of continuous use and a top speed of 75 miles per hour.
There has been no confirmation whether the scooter would be similar to the innovative, partially enclosed C1 design, which proved to be a commercial failure. The image shown here was rendered by Oberdan Bezzi and may not be an accurate representation of BMW’s electric scooter.

I'll stick to my three wheel electric scooter and it's top speed of three miles an hour.
No thanks...I'll stick the Harley's :)
There's just something not right about the lines of that bike. If the wheels weren't still round, I would have assumed someone 'squashed' the picture top to bottom.
I think I'll pass.
well..the image accurate or not...looks lovely!:)
Dear Baron! I would like to pass an award to you - pick it at my blog!
It's hard to believe BMW would go electric...but then again, there has been a lot of stuff to shock me lately.
Looks cool...will see how it is going to be after launching.
