With Jennie in the UK visiting her sister and me having made excellent
progress on the "honey do" task list, it was time to chill and do some

this looks like some of the traffic in CA...no fun...
30 mph on the exit? It looks like you had some stretches where it was 30mph on the I-5!
mq01 The LA traffic is much mch worse...this at least was moving
Lance, actually the traffic was rolling
I didn't see any traffic that looked like it was going 60.
It looks just as if you were on the 401 in Ontario, or the 20 getting through Montreal.
This can be scary driving.
If that's 60 I'd hate to see 30 LOL
Dr. JOhn, you need to look at the picture carefully...see the motorcycle rider, he's riding not standing still...
T.O.F., Bill yeah it does, doesn't it? I think more like the 401 but smaller in width
Thom, Traffice really moves fast on that part of the freeway unless there is an accident

Yep, that's Portland traffic.
In the morning most of the traffic is heading into Portland from Vancouver and in the afternoon rush hour is heading North back to Vancouver. A lot of people live in Washington but work in Oregon.
I wouldn't want to drive it everyday. Heck, we hate to do it when we are up there shopping.
In 12 days I will be Heading up North for a week on the cycle to Nova Scotia. The only traffic I want to see are Moose Crossings (hopefully not real close, could be a bad day for my Honda). Baron thanks for the advice on my blog!
Trobairitz...I imagined you would know exactly where that spot is...I took those pictures back in March
Rob, enjoy the trip up North...N.S. cooan be very beautiful in the summer and the lobster is, as you probably know, succulent...!
Enjoy and ride safe...I did jooing you follow-me group as your blog is very very good and worht a read...Keep well Bud
At least it was moving. Luckily for me much of the traffic in KC is like that. It might get heavy but at least stays moving.
Danny, yeah, this was moving...exiting Oregon going N to WA is always a busy throughfare but it moves fast..not for the faint of heart if you're on 2 wheels...never been to Kansas City yet but hopefull one day will do so
Have a great night Bud
Ahhh...the pictures were taken in March...that makes sense. I noticed the gas price being so low (it's almost $3/gallon in North Bend). I was going to get in the car and drive there to fill up!
Oh man...it's a good thing I mentioned that...I have a post to do on March but can't get around to do it yet...in March a Buddy and I did 612 miles (There and back) in one day...and these are a few of the shots we took back then...
Your pictures remind me of why I'm glad that I don't have to make that daily commute any more! They also remind me of why I chose to retire in a small town.
George...wise choice...who needs the hustle of a big city
