The one for her looks interesting. I'll have to show my wife.

Baron's Life said...

Thom they designed that bike so your girlfriends can ride them when they come to visit just for a little helping hand...lol

Dr. John, I'd wear my helmet if I were you before showing this bike to her...hint...hint....hint...lol

Harley's always have been my dream motorbike. Whereby I think that calling a Harley a motorbike is an insult. Harley's are not "motorbikes". That is a designation for something indefinite, like a stupid simple motorbike.

Harley's are something else. The are LASAHCV's: Luxury And Sophistication And High Class Vehicles.

Why should I make such a fuss? I would never buy one let alone drive one. Well, perhaps I would buy one. Just to have it and to look at it.

Peter, I always said you were a poet at heart, even though you claim to have been an accountant. Totally agree with you Harley is a culture within cultures...therefore a Harley is a Harley just like a Cadillac is a Cadillac

ouch...well, i'll take the regular folk model please :)

Baron's Life said...

mq01 and would that be cash or credit card my fair lady..we also process payment in kind...lol

Is a Sportster a chick bike?

Baron's Life said...

Scunnert...yes it's supposed to be...a real biker would ride a softail at the very least.
You didn't get a portster did ya now?

Na - no me Baron - but know many guys around here who have been mercilessly slagged for riding one. I'm not a biker but my youngest brother has a retro Triumph. Beautiful looking machine. He says it's not comfortable for long rides and wants something bigger. What would you recommend?

And for daily use the misses can also have a KTM toaster. ;0)

Nikos said...

SHE ought to be more than satisfied with the for "her" model - it looks so easy to park...

Sean said...

I think the rear view mirrors are a waste of money for hers.... surely they are a little over the top?

Hmmmm. I'm going to lose my "sweet person" status here when I tell you I want to come up there and kick your ass! LOL! JK!!

This reminds me of the time my Mom got an iron from my Dad (from us kids of course) for Mother's Day once. He was in the dog house for a while! LOL!

I'm with mqo1... I'll take one of the V-Rods please... yes, silver is nice!

Ann said...

I'm not a huge fan of the V-Rod, but I'd take that over the 'for her' version. Although it would be nice to have those mirrors on my vacuum so the husband can't sneak up on me and scare me while using it. :)

Bikerted - I was surprised to find there actually is a KTM toaster (http://www.dirtbikebook.com/acatalog/OrangeEquipment.html)

Also, in the early 70s BMW's R75 series were commonly referred to as "toasters" because of the chrome panels on the sides of the gas tank.

So toasters are not out of the question.

Other than that, 'hers' needs signal lights.

"Joker" said...

That gave me a fair dose of needed cheering up. My wife says the apes are too much for her, but she may consider a model with drag bars.

bikerted said...

Canajun - There is also the Suzuki GT750, which over here in the UK was given the nickname 'Kettle'.

Canajun said...

Bikerted - lots of ways to keep the missus happy. LOL.

Scunnert the retro triumphs are just very beautiful...but I do agree they are uncomfortable.
The bike that would suit him best depends on many factors:
Personal preference
Budget
How fit is he?
Ride purposes...commute or touring
etc... It's hard to really recommend a bike to someone,as, bikes become cherished mistresses.

Baron's Life said...

Bikerted, I'm afraid if you had one them special for her BIKE, she'd have you riding it around the house all day vacuuming...now, now dear...you can ride all you want at home...mommy will let you her special bike.

Baron's Life said...

Nikos and to ride as well

Baron's Life said...

Shaun, not if she's going to let you ride it from time to time...lol

Baron's Life said...

LadyR...Promises promises promise...lol be gentle though if you must...! I know what you mean about the iron....same thing happened at our house. They must've been watching the same TV stations.

Baron's Life said...

Ann, if you had the special "Her" bike, you can get Hubby to ride indoors all day...wearing all the gear all the time and vacuuming while your supervising things

Baron's Life said...

Canajun, Thanks for sharing the link, for you're a gentleman and a scholar

Baron's Life said...

Joker, it's all about having a good laugh. Hope things get better.
Make sure she don't get one cause she'll have you riding in-doors all day doing your MST...good bye freedom and fresh air

Baron's Life said...
