They had Clevage in Cleveland OH back in 1929...

1929 Clevage and man she looks good
Manufactured by Cleveland Motorcycle ...
Can you imagine what the US motorcycle industry would've been like today if manufacturers had stuck to their guns instead of importing and supporting foreign industry...!

One great bike. Imagine if any of our industries had held fast but profit was the motive.

When we went to the bike museum in Solvang, CA last year they had a few from that Mfg. Although the picture is great, seeing them inches in front of your face is…..Droooooooooool !!!

Dr. John, God bless you...yes,the bottom line was/is what destroyed our great industries and left so many unemployed God fearing people from Michigan to WIsconsin and beyond.!

Canajun... You are an artist for you can appreciate a good looking FEM when you see one....!

Steph... I can get you excited plenty more if you just gave me a chance...lol

Willy D... Seeing one of these just inches away from my face also makes my day... Happy easter to you all

Hey Torch...the company still exists and they do good work on customs bikes...they are just an amazing bunch of people...they need marketing skills to reach the masses and the WORLD... They would be a HIT

Baron

Happy Easter to you and Happy Easter to you again next week!

Many thanks for telling me about your ancestry. We both have the Ottomans a lot to thank for... My Father was a Greek from Constantinople but emigrated to England in 1949. My Mother is English so I am "souvlaki and apple pie" (as my better half points out) . She is souvlaki and sauerkraut but that is an entirely different story.

P.S.

Interesting bike! With the engine mounted longitudinally she ought to have shaft drive. Look at the miniscule size of the front brake....

Hey Nikos, if it weren't for them, I wouldn't be Canadian would I...so we have to look at the bright side of things...and let bygones be bygones...Life goes forward not backwards.
Yassou Nikos...Kalinikta taklaniss oli nikta...lol
